The School

The Jane Scott foundation was set up in 1838 to build a school for the education of poor children of Ockley.

Education provision continued uninterrupted until 2017 when the infant school base in Ockley closed.

The school building, extended in 2004, is an important local landmark and a potential asset to the community.

Many villagers hold fond memories about the school and are saddened to see it lying vacant.
